Semester Reflection

This was a wonderful class to take and i learned a bunch of new skills. Skills such as how to use Photoshop, Publisher, PowerPoint, Sketch up and Illustrator.My favorite software was Google sketch up. I even downloaded it at home it is just fun to design stuff. Although at times I would look or act a bit uninterested I am glad I learned all I did and really had fun in the process. Multimedia is a class I would recommend to others. Ms. Wang is my favorite teacher and without her I would not have had such a great semester. 

3rd Marking Period

For this first assignment of the third marking period we began to use Google sketch up. This soft ware allowed us to make 2D and 3D figures depending on the task we were given. The first thing we had to do was make basic shapes of a triangle,circle and square.

For this assignment we had to take the same basic shapes that we began to use in the first assignment and make them 3 Dimensional. 

For this assignment I had to spell my name using squares, circles and draw lines. To Spell my name was not that difficult except for the "S'. I had to make a 8 with 2 circles and then use the eraser to make it a "S".

For these 12 blocks I had to go to the website and see every picture so i can count the boxes and see the dimensions of the block. Every square was 1 foot. We had to make sure that each block was exact and had to really count the boxes closely. After that i had to select different colors for the blocks.

For this assignment we had to make a gingerbread house from scratch. I went on the internet and Goggled a picture of a gingerbread house to get me started. After that I began by making a house using the squares, circles and draw lines. After that I had to get all of the other details like windows and rooftop decorations. Then I selected a sort of Christmas colorway. 

This is the same gingerbread house assignment just a look at it from the back. 

This assignment was turning my gingerbread house 3 Dimensional. I also photo shopped the house in the north pole.I had to play with the "R" "G" "B" buttons and this was my final product.

For this assignment we had to make a Power Button. I followed the instructions on the website and used the ellipse tool and other tools to make the circle. I used the other tools to make a aluminum effect. Then I downloaded the power symbol and played with the colors. 

For this assignment we had to make a showcase of ourselves. The hard part was making the showcase. We started off by making a rectangle. Then after I had it I deleted the rectangle and was left with the guidelines. I had to label the ceiling, floor and walls. Then I played around with the gradient overlay. After this I set up the spotlights and other lights and made sure they were ready for my pictures.

This was a continuation of the showcase. Now it was ready ti have the pictures added on. The first picture was a baby picture of me. The second was a picture of me in Little League Baseball and the last one was of me on the MCSM Varsity baseball team. To put these pictures up I had to use the magnetic lasso and place myself in the showcase. I did the same thing with the counter after I got the picture from Google. 

For this final assignment we had to open up Microsoft Publisher. We made a brochure of our daily school lives. My first column is what i do first and second period. The second column is a little about me and how i get to school. The third column was my school and the bell schedule. I also threw in a picture of our mascot there. in the second page first column was my third and fourth period. Second column was my fifth and sixth period and the last column was my seventh and eight period. 

2nd Marking Period

Conclusion Paragraph: Photoshop and Adobe illustrator are totally different. Illustrator uses more of shapes and focuses more on the way you make things stand out and the details. Photoshop does the same but not as much.You focus more on other pictures that you use from the internet and fix them up unlike illustrator where you make everything yourself.
